Meet the 2023 Women's History Month WU Member Highlights

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we want to shed some light on a few of our amazing Women United donor group members!

Meet Barbara J. “BJ” Jones. Barbara is the Chief Diversity & Impact Officer at Sandia Laboratory FCU. She became interested In Women United when the group started (a long time ago) as Women In Philanthropy – as she knew some of the founders. “The opportunity to support Women’s Self Sufficiency is a way to break a cycle; invest in the success of the current generation – and those to come. ” She appreciates the impact of our investments and the camaraderie of other great like-minded donors.

Thank you, BJ, for all you do to support our community!

Meet Sandy Gold. She is a current, active member of the Women United Council and understands the importance of supporting women.

Meet Laurie Roach. Laurie is the Executive Director of PNM Resources Foundation & PNM Public Affairs manager on the Public Policy team. She wishes to “continue the support of incredible NM organizations, to uplift other women who care about our community, networking – and of course, because of the butterfly logo swag. 🙂 ” She values the opportunity to attend tours of nonprofits and to meet other like-minded women.

Thank you, Laurie, for all you do to support our community!
