ALICE in New Mexico: A Community Conversation

For a growing number of U.S. households, financial stability is nothing more than a pipe dream, no matter how hard their members work. These households are ALICE – Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed – earning above the Federal Poverty Level yet struggling to afford basic expenses.

In a collaborative effort, United Ways in more than half of U.S. states are changing the way we think about financial need in individual states and across the country. Will you join our effort in New Mexico?

Chief Executive Officer of United Way of Northern New Jersey & President of UnitedFor ALICE

Kiran Handa Gaudioso is the Chief Executive Officer of United Way of Northern New Jersey and president of United For ALICE. She has overseen strategic planning for how the organization fulfills its mission of improving life for ALICE and those in poverty at the local, state, and national levels, including United For ALICE. This national research-based initiative provides an accurate study of households that earn above the poverty level but less than the basic cost of living. Kiran leads the efforts of ALICE and will be the presenting speaker at ALICE in New Mexico: A Community Conversation.
