100 citizens, led by District Court Judge Danny Macpherson, organized the first Albuquerque Community Chest.
The Helpline was started and shifted to 211 in 2001.
The Alexis de Tocqueville Society was founded with four members.
Women in Leadership was established.
The Young Leaders Society began to empower youth.
The Family Advocacy Center opened its doors.
The Hispano Philanthropic Society was established.
UWNCNM took over the Tax Help New Mexico program.
Guys Give was established.
The newest service program Ride United was initiated in Santa Fe County.
Our newest donor group Retired United was instituted.

Our community impact partnerships (collectively called Rising Together) and our services – 211 Information and Referral helpline, the Family Advocacy Center, Tax Help New Mexico and Ride United in Santa Fe – enable people to tackle challenges with tools that make a critical difference.
