Susan Ellsworth started as an admin, became a Database Application Specialist, and is currently the Director of IT. She has fond memories of exciting campaign celebrations, including balloon pops revealing totals and police officers riding motorcycles on stage. A special memory involves Susan’s late mother thanking United Way in a video played at a campaign celebration. Susan notes, “My mom was in a video thanking United Way for her care at an adult daycare. She passed away, and they played the video at a campaign celebration.”

She hopes United Way will align more with the community, acknowledging a decline in support over recent years. The decrease in support for United Way is attributed to changes in donor demographics and the need to stay relevant. Susan expresses a desire to recreate a past event at the balloon museum during the balloon fiesta, highlighting the community involvement, food, and balloon glow.
