Del Esparza - 90 Faces of United Way
Del Esparza calls himself a steadfast believer in United Way’s mission since his high school days when he first started donating. His commitment has carried through to the present when Del’s company, Esparza Advertising, holds an annual giving campaign, fostering a culture of giving to those in need.
In 2011, Del chaired a capital campaign for United Way, dedicating a year to a challenging but rewarding goal. “I am proud to say we surpassed our target, marking it as one of the most fulfilling years of volunteer work in my life,” Del said. “This experience allowed me to connect with fellow community leaders, united in our aim to elevate our community to its highest potential.”
As our community expands, Del understands the challenges faced by many of our residents also increase. It’s crucial to concentrate on equipping families with the necessary tools to thrive, while ensuring children have the opportunity to excel academically, he says. He also believes that addressing homelessness and developing solutions for affordable housing will be paramount moving forward.
