The YLS Fund supports grants to agencies and initiatives that focus on educational attainment and career exploration opportunities for youth in our community

Join the Young Leaders Society

Founded in 2003, United Way of North Central New Mexico’s Young Leaders Society (YLS) is a community of young professionals who are committed to growing in their various careers as well as serving North Central New Mexico through volunteerism, advocacy, and philanthropy.

Connect with us

The YLS network is open to all! Join us at our quarterly meetups where we spotlight inidividuals and organizations doing inspiring work in our community.

Become an official member

If you are ready to expand your network while pursuing your philanthropic goals, we encourage you to officially become a member of YLS with the gift of any amount to any area of UWNCNM’s work. The YLS Council made the decion to change the $500 annual giving requirement in favor of a more equitable invitation to make a gift that is meaningful and right for you- we happily make space for young professionals at all giving levels who want to dive deeper into their community.

In addition to YLS quarterly meetups, members have access to two extra events a year to network. learn, and join United Way in our mission to equitably improve lives and strengthen our community. The resources offered through these events will be most helpful to those at the beginning of their careers, age 40 and younger. Members are also invited to participate in special extra volunteering and mentoring opportunities.
