Janice Torrez is a native New Mexican and President of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico. Those perspectives, she said, mean that she knows the importance of giving back to the community. 

Torrez has found her service on the UWNCNM Board to be a privilege. “United Way is thoughtful in their approach to supporting community partners that impact the greatest number of New Mexicans.” 

After serving as Chair of the 2022-2023 Campaign Cabinet, she is now Board Chair Elect. She looks forward to the continued efforts of United Way to support our community organizations to build long-term sustainability. “This ensures they have resources to provide needed services in our community.”
