Chris O’Conner, a long-time educator and donor in Valencia County, thinks the support UWCNM has given to the community has been very meaningful. She appreciates the programs that support “great ideas like mock interviews, internships, community and education connections that directly benefit students.”

A mother of four children, O’Conner has been the recipient of UW support through YWCA and Presbyterian Ear Institute. She’s also been a donor and conducted workplace campaigns for donations at her schools. As an educator, she has served on committees to award local grants and has worked with UWNCNM’s education initiatives for 6+ years.

In the future, she would like to see UNCNM “continue to be a think-tank, a connector, and encourager for better opportunities and quality of life for our communities.”
