Success! Latina Leaders, Legislative Recap & More!

We sure did have a busy spring!

On March 30, we hosted yet another fantastic speaker series! This series featured a powerful panel of Hispanic/Latina women and a conversation focused on female empowerment in celebration of Women's History Month!

Following our Speaker Series, we hosted a great networking event with members, founders, council members, and community sponsors. This was an excellent way to meet and mingle with our like-minded community!

On April 12, we returned to hosting our annual Legislative Recap in person!

In this panel discussion, attendees learned about the recent NM State Legislative Session from panelists including New Mexico’s Speaker of the House, Representative Javier Martinez, Representative Joshua Hernandez, and Amanda Aragon, Founder and Executive Director of NewMexicoKidsCAN.

HPS Participates in STEM First Responders Day at Explora!

Members of the HPS Council participated in the STEM First Responders Day at Explora on June 24, 2023. At this event, participants were able to meet first responders and learn how they use STEM in their work with robotics, forensics, and other advanced technology tools for the betterment of our community!

HPS Council Members partnered with Sandia National Laboratories to table at the event, hosting fun and interactive STEM games to engage with youth in our local community and encourage their interest in a career in STEM.
