Overview of Application Process and Timeline

Grant applications will be submitted online through the platform Submittable.  Agencies will be required to create a free Submittable account in order to apply.  For technical support, please contact the Submittable Help Center.

Annual Program Grant Process Timeline

Phase 1: Grant Application 

January 22nd   9:30-10:30am

February 1st   1:00pm-2:00pm

Phase 2: Application Review


UWNCNM staff and Grant Panels review and score applications.  Grant panels are made up of Community Investment Council, donors, volunteers, and members of the community connected to services provided.   Panels will engage with agencies during review to follow up on any questions about the application.

Phase 3: Allocations


Community Investment Council recommends grant awards.  Using the scoring from Grant Review Panels, the Community Investment Council makes final allocation recommendations to the UWNCNM Board of Directors.

June 11th

UWNCNM Board approves allocations, pending successful completion of FSR.


The first monthly grant installment is paid in July 2023. All grant funds must be expended within the fiscal grant year.

Phase 4: Financial Standards Review (FSR)

June 12th

Agencies selected to receive an award are notified and complete the Financial Standards Review (FSR) process.  Award is dependent on successful completion of the FSR.  Agencies not selected for award will also be notified at this time.

Phase 5: Award


Grant payments begin July 2024. All grant funds must be expended within the fiscal grant year.
